Afghan society is struggling because of the war. According to World Factbook in 2010, Afghanistan is an impoverished and least developed country, one of the world's poorest. In 2010, the nation's GDP exchange rate stood at $16.63 billion and the GDP per capita was $1,000. Every half hour, an average of one woman dies from pregnancy-related complications, another dies of tuberculosis and 14 children die, largely from preventable causes. UNICEF estimates that more than 80 percent of females have a lack of education.
As you can see, war and poverty have significantly limited women's lives in Afghanistan. I imagine in 2020, Afghanistan will have a more peaceful society and more women will be able to have access to education with a rise in GDP. it will be a long process for afghan economy to turn around, hopefully with the work of Afghan ambassadors. there will be more doors open for Afghan products such as pomegranates (fruit) and rugs will export to other countries. With the boost of economy, women will gain more rights and more eduction.
