Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Jackey- In my story, I'm a girl who lives in Darfur and I'm was skinny
because my country faces many civil wars and we don't have much to eat. I
also face problems with finding a shelter because my old homes were
destroyed by the armies that would pass through my town. My dad and my
brothers also went to join the war. I stayed behind with my aunt and
mom, but they were barely in good shape. I try to help my aunt and mom
out because they try to find food for us three to eat and food is very
scarce when a war is going on. Ever since this organization came in, We
received more food and I received more knowledge to help me realize
whats happening around me. It also helped me to realize goals that I can
achieve. This organization also gave me hope of a better future.
Besides educating us, they also educated everyone else in my village.
They gave us homes and they also gave us security. My mom, aunt and me
won't have to worry anymore of attacks coming at night. We can finally
sleep peacefully.

Hiba- In my story, I'm a girl who was benefited from Inspiring Darfur Girls to Achieve. My family and I are
Muslims and were caught up in the warfare in Darfur. Many of my
relatives have died because of these wars. While these wars were
occuring, there was a lack of food in our community and we had nothing
to protect our health. This organization called Inspiring Darfur Girls
to Achieve, came in and helped us directly. There were actually people
building us houses and giving us food. They told us ways to grow our own
food too. Even though we don't have everything in the world, our
community has been enriched with food and shelter because of this
organization. Obviously, this organization can't reach everyone in
Africa but by helping a few people, they're making a big change. I'm
really thankful to them for caring enough to help us. After 5 years, my
family is definitely healthier and happier than before. My mother was
sick from the lack of food, but now she is working and healthy. They
even gave us the great gift of education...This helped us learn more
about the world and how things work. These religious wars will never
stop but I'm really glad there are people who care and protect us.We
were also moved far away from where the wars occur so we won't be harmed
by them. I hope everyone who's going through what I am, will get help.

Binetou- In my story, I'm a girl who have lots her family. I finally decide to
move on with my life. This organization Inspiring Darfur Girls To
Achieve have help me a lot. They benefit with a lot health,
education... I thought I was going nothing, but this organization give
me a life again. They are so many of us in this place with different
story and background. Here we are living together and happily. I am so
happy that I am here. I really don't know how to thank them one day, for
changing my life.

Marlene- In my story, I'm a girl who acquired help from Inspiring Darfur Girls to Achieve project. During war my
father and brother were fighting in the war and I was left behind my mom
mother and sister. Since my dad and brother were the ones that work and
place food in the table now that they are gone we don't have enough
food. No one would give us jobs because we are "women". We felt bad an
our steam system went downand there was a type when we felt useless and
worthless. The Project not only gave us food and shelter but it also
help us get our self steam back up. I wish there were more organizations
that will help us women make a progress in life. I'm so thankful to
this organization mostly because they took the time to make a change.

That's very well thought out. I liked all of your stories. Darfur is a horrible place to be in at this time.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
