Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

■WHICH great challenges and social problems should the EVOKE Network tackle next?

The most world changing incidents in the last monthes were the revolutions in North Africa. After these revolutions there are so many open questions that need to be solved: How can the wemen get enpowered? How to instal democratic structures and what should these structurs look like? How can these countries handle the problems that come with refugees? What about seperation between religion and state? How can they build up modern infrastructures? What potential do the younger inhabitants have and how could they use it?
How can we in Europe, the U.S. or somewhere else help them to solve their problems?
And there are so many more questions that need young social innovators that are searching for great solutions.

■WHERE in the world should the network try to build up new EVOKE communities?

Having a look at the Evoke-agents and where they come from the network seems to work world wide, yet. We should try to increase the communities plenty more. We should try to win more people outside the Evoke community over to think more about social responsibility and what they can do to improve the local and world wide situation.

■WHO would you encourage to play Season 2?

I would recommend Evoke to nearly everyone. On the one hand it is great fun but on the other hand it is also very instructive. I would even tell my parents, uncles and ants to have a look at it. Probably they would not write that much, but just to read what others change and to learn from the informations amalchy provides is a good start to become a little socail innovator.

■HOW would you change the game for Season 2?

I would not change that much. Personally I´m not a big fan of comics and I would prefer to read a story like a book or watching short films that tell the story.
It would be also great to increase the value of the power votes. It´s great fun to power vote and a good feeling to get some from other agents. But after getting 20 for completing my mission 1 point more from a nother agent doesn´t count that much. Therefore I would make the power vote points dependent on the mission points.

■WHAT new tools would you want as an EVOKE agent?

I would improve the wh*** comunication with other agents. A kind of chat function would be great and a system of getting informed what your friend did/do (new blog posts, photos. . .) like in other social networks like facebook would be also an improvement.

■WHY would you come back for a second Season? What more would you want from the experience?

First of all I would come back because I had fun playing Evoke. I´m also interested in playing a real season and not only the version for teachers and organisation.
I think that I would go deeper inside the Evoke network next time. The last 10 weeks I was travelling a lot and that is why I didn´t add as much to the Evoke network as I was expecting to do. But nevertheless I mostly enjoyed the time I spent on urgent evoke.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
