Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

  • WHICH great challenges and social problems should the EVOKE Network tackle next?
  • The challenges and social problems I would like to see the Evoke Network handle next (in India) are that of animal rights, farmer's rights, Dalit rights and rights of minority communities, the rights of Nature, of women and children and of the differently abled, of the poor , the powerless, the technologically illiterate , of education, health and peak phosphorus.
  • WHERE in the world should the network try to build up new EVOKE communities?
  • Everywhere
  • WHO would you encourage to play Season 2?
  • Everyone.
  • HOW would you change the game for Season 2?
  • I would make it better by having proper chat, proper email facilties, translation so that langauge is not a problem, having no game runners but instead having age based sections and in built co-ordinates and ironing out problems of evaluation where there is a network of peer reviewers to decide regarding quality etc.
  • WHAT new tools would you want as an EVOKE agent?
  • See my answer above. I would also like a map making tool, a website making tool, something like ushahidi on here, a pic drawing tool, a video making tool, a doc makingor book making tool etc... In short unleash the full potential of web 2.0
  • WHY would you come back for a second Season? What more would you want from the experience?
  • I would not come back as a player but I want my children and students to play it and I will guide them and I would join and mentor others not officially but as I did unofficially many this time.

Your objective:

Share your ideas about the future of the EVOKE network. What would make this great adventure even better for Season 2?

It has to be improved in many ways. Translation or other language versions are a must. The digital divide problem has to be solved. The game must reach its target audience, not North America and Europe, so I suggest next time it's run from India. No one must be thrown out and censorship must be done. if at all, in a more sensitive way. All contributions must be reviewed fast and properly and not at the end of the game. Comments and power generation must get points. More skills need to be added. The story and the design of the web site must be made much better. A better platform must be chosen, maybe even one that uses many platforms simultaneously. A peer reviewing system must be done. Widgets must be there.

Real evokers who succeeded in their projects must, in the next season, be contacted to review the game and improve it.

Delta and Evoke4ever must be officially recognized as torch bearers of continuing the spirit of evoking along with urgentevoke.

Please take this survey by Gabriel Martin so we can all know more about what the next evoke should be like.

Great Idea bout running the game from India, putting it actually in a country who experience a harsh reality would have such a more prominent effect! Also Congrats to finish all 10 missions, this is in itself an accomplishment for everything your pioneering for as it's certainly going op open up eyes. Perhaps something like a Facebook style page might work as you'd log on and get to see the daily discussions nice a clearly and see the most talked about issues!

*Bow's Humbly* Exceedingly good work Koshy, continue the great change for humanity!

i have been using consistently my one LBS social network to back up my missions ?
It's a pitty that i couldn't get the Ushahidi app working on my on mobile elseway i probably would have used theirs to do so. Would have loved to explore there interfaces .

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

The meal

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
