A crash course in changing the world.
Right now, the Colorado river is shrinking. Prolonged drought has diminished 1,450-mile river, which supplies water to the 40 million people of California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. This shortage has led inhabitants to reduce their water usage. Should this crisis extend eastward, the rest of America will have to quickly learn how to adapt.
Since drought is the main cause of the crisis, I would want to track data regarding temperature, humidity, rainfall, runoff levels and more.
Ushahidi could help me collect this data and statistics from researchers across the nation. Anyone can update the information at anytime, ensuring that the data is diverse and up to date.
