I think my favorite innovation secret would have to be, "think like a child". Especially now that I'm a Mom myself, I remember back to the days when anything was possible. Fairies and unicorns existed in a world where everyone got along, there were no problems, and wishes came true.
What happens to us as we become adults? Reality smacks us in the face, and we become jaded, distrustful, skeptical individuals who become so wrapped up in the little problems that we just KNOW that there can be nothing done for the bigger ones.
I hope that thinking like a child will help me through this, as I'll be able to tap into my creativity and think of things nobody else has thought of. Believe in the power of positive thinking. Anything IS possible.
As a high schooler, I can definitely attest to that tidal wave of reality. I can feel the first bits of spray hitting my face right now. That aside, you do bring up an excellent point. Many have said that "it can't be done" when it actually could have been done. Reality lends itself to pessimism and you're combatting that. Great!
