Don't fight culture.
I feel that global diversity is essential to solving problems and, by eliminating that diversity, we limit the directions in which we can grow as a species. It's easy for me to compare this concept to biodiversity - influencing all the world's cultures to be just like ours in order to help them solve a problem would be like turning all the world's mammals into rats so that they could adapt and flourish in a wider variety of environments. What about all the secrets hidden in the DNA of all those other creatures?

Exactly! Biodiversity is a fantastic reflection of the power of cultural diversity. "by eliminating that diversity, we limit the directions in which we can grow as a species." Your observation here reminds me of the diversity of rain-forests -- the diversity of its species' DNA gives it a strength of sustainability, and adapting, life-harboring power.
