A crash course in changing the world.

LEARN1: Innovate on existing platforms

Secret to Social Innovation: Innovate on existing platforms
(We’ve got bicycles and mobile phones in Africa, plus lots of metal to weld. Innovate using that stuff, rather than bringing in completely new tech.)

But, use the most powerful tool in your box

This applies to local innovation as well as global innovation. Throwing the baby out with the bath water should be counter-intuitive.

There are rarely bloodless revolutions. On the other hand evolution occurs through an almost unnoticeable mutation which sets a system off in a new direction because it self-perpetuates. That mutation is change bought about by innovation within systems.

Innovation in our economic systems evolved towards free-market capitalism because it was self-perpetuating. Communism on the other hand, whilst ideologically, seemingly moral, took energy to sustain and was not self-perpetuating. It's participants yearned to follow a self-perpetuating model.

Now, along with the greatest productivity gains in history, we also have massive moral obscenities as a by product of following that path. The free-market capitalist system is due for a mutation which will lessen these obscenities to a point that, over time, they no longer exist. This will occur through a mutation that it's participants like, and want to engage in. It will occur through the reduction in fear and a consequent increase in love.

A very small simple pragmatic addition to the tools of capitalism, sold on its benefits, may be all that is required to move the lumbering system in a new and better direction.

I intend to explore this as my Evoke mission. To create it will be my superpower.

Awesome vision! Cant wait to see what small mutations you will introduce into the system to move it toward love, creativity and less fear and greed.

I am also interested in what exactly you have in mind.

So far, even though it is beautifully simple, and totally pragmatic nobody has got it in under two hours of explanation.
Rest assured I am working on my "elevator pitch". I am doing contra for a speech writer and a video team. Perhaps by the end of this mission I will have something on video I am happy truly represents the system intent, design, and working tool set, to upload. The last thing I want is for it to be misconstrued. I may only have one shot at this.

Excellent point, Greg. "... evolution occurs through an almost unnoticeable mutation which sets a system off in a new direction because it self-perpetuates." Capitalism must find effective ways to deal with the issues of power and greed. I would love to see that happen! +1 vision

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
