Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Now we spend an enormous amount of time being told what to do and how to think by not only the mass media but also by our own cultures, by what we have been exposed to and the patterns of behaviour we have comfortably set ourselves into.
We are often told to assert ourselves and we are taught to write essays, write reports, comply to deadlines and to formats that are already in place.
We are split in two camps: those that are going to fight the system and those that hope to somehow make their way in the system to the top so that they may change it from there. Yet does either approach really address the problems that we are facing?

You can come up with great innovations that you think will solve the worlds problems; you can imagine a better world and tell people about it; you can even come up with great theories about what is, what has happened and what will come to be... Yet if you fail to listen, if you fail to understand none of your efforts will bear any fruit (unless you are well connected and have the mass media on your side for some obscure reason).

By actively putting yourself in situations where your own assumptions are put to the test, where you must readjust the lenses you carry around to look at the world outside as well as within yourself, where you find yourself open enough to receive other people's points of views, perceptions, ideas and thoughts, you will ultimately come to not only be able to look at things from a new angle but also come up with solutions to problems from brand new angles.

So, if there is one key to keep in mind whenever approaching whatever problem it's to listen. Listen and make sure you understand not only the problem but the people concerned by it.

Julia, Good point, locals are very useful has they have the domestic knowledge, they have been able to survive the situation were we want to help. By listening and incorporating the local view, we improve the probability of having a sustainable solution. Regards.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
