My favourite secret? Thinking like a child. Absolutely.
I love seeing the world through a child's eyes. Everything is so unbearably simple. There's no complicated social problems, there's no challenge too difficult to face, and there's nothing that can stop the imagination.
I remember when I was forced to give up my imagination a while back. I felt lost, isolated, and ostracised from my friends.
But when it came back, I felt amazing. It's still not completely here, but it's definitely coming back.
The more I think about the world through a child's eyes, the more I see that things can be much simpler than people make them. Kids love taking things apart, and putting them back together again. If an adult does it and fails to come up with something, they're an idiot. If he or she finds something fantastic as a result, they're a genius.
Why can't every failure lead to genius? Just because one person couldn't do what they wanted to doesn't mean someone else won't be able to find a new solution.
So start getting adventurous again. Instead of climbing trees, take a TV apart and see what you can make.
