The La Esperanza Hydroelectric Project in Honduras provides clean power for surrounding areas and sells some to the National Electric Company as well. This hydroelectric plant located in the Intibuca River near La Esperanza uses the rivers flow to create electricity that doesn't release carbon emissions into the environment. The La Esperanza Hydroelectric Project and the National Electric Company have recently worked together and have been able to provide power to the town of San Fernando where the average daily income is under one dollar.
Projects like these help establish sustainable electricity for communities around the world that is both affordable as well as good for the environment due to the lack of carbon emissions.
