Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Lets get serious, and organize Evoke(Your help is needed)

Lets get together and organize Evoke.

My Idea, is to make one post containing

1.A list of completed projects on evoke, to inspire newer members. No example found yet.

2.A list of ongoing projects, which people could take up. Example here

3.A list of upcoming events that the players may participate in. Example here

4.A list of ideas that people can convert to projects. Example Here

With a short summary of each topic.

Or each post containing a separate list.

Any Person who joins evoke, is directed to this post. Instead of looking around aimlessly, he has list of things he can immediately start doing, and he finds getting involved with the community so much easier.

These lists must be refreshed regularly, as people add newer new ideas and projects.

My idea is combined with Floatstone's

We need INNS and GUILD HOUSES!

Once you take up an ongoing project, you work with a team of people with whom you can talk in real time to complete the project.

Dear Evokers, I need your opinion on this.
Please leave a comment if you see a potential flaw/Improvement in my plan.

Welcome back Koshy! :-)
@Samiran, love your idea, since I joined Evoke I thought some organisation would improveit but I was never able to orginize my ideas, at least not well enough enough to produce an structured proposal. Thank you!

Well, the problem is that this "game" does not provide a real framework to organize... ugh... brainstorm coming... can't... stop... the... boogie...

MAKE IT STOP!!!

Nicholas - there's actually a tool in the works right now specifically for EVOKE projects like this :) I think it should be released probably today or tomorrow. Though, yes, Google Wave is pretty awesome!

Decided to blog about this idea, since it's got some game design ideas I'd like to see bounced back and forth... http://www.urgentevoke.com/profiles/blogs/cautions-about-idea-for-e...

Thank you for the support guys, Tim Cooley came up with an idea of categorizing ideas into specific subjects, so that people can find their area of expertise faster.

I also love the idea using of Google Wave to do the 'realtime talk' in projects

A.V Koshy, how about we restart work on the Evoke Literary Project?

James, I especially want to thank you, your idea is excellent, I propose that the each project must have a minimum requirement (Example: To join, you need 30 Collaboration, 20 Creativity )
This will be a huge boost for the gaming aspect Evoke.

I am waiting for more response,..I want to start the actual work as soon as possible.

Hey, Samiran.

I made a new post about this issue. Some input would be highly appreciated.
Comment by Samiran Roy on April 8, 2010 at 6:37pm
@ Julio, I want to answer both this post of yours, and the zombie one. I'll do so as soon as I finish studying..

and btw , the first line I read, about
All mission and quest rewards should be increased to x5. As a game, completing the goals should have a much stronger impact on score than post spamming.

That wont compel people to play this game more, because 'the relative score' will remain the same. Hope you get what I mean.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
