A crash course in changing the world.
I work twice a week in downtown Gainesville and it is extremely common to see homeless men and women all over the area. It is not often that I stop and think about how different their lives are from mine and that I have plenty of food to eat on a daily basis but that they probably don't know when they'll eat their next meal. It really makes me stop and think about the amount of money I spend on needless snacks and starbucks drinks each week instead of helping the hungry all around me. In the future I could cut back on that type of spending and donate to local food banks instead.
