A crash course in changing the world.

I chose the secret about "Managing Panic in Pandemic" by Dori Reissman.
Maybe I chose this, because we currently have a kind of EHEC pandemic here in germany. So it is easy to follow what is the reaction of news media and the population.

Obviously the media capitalize this to get headlines and medical association warns about panic. As Reissman said we inflationary use the word "panic". It isn't really a panic. The people talk about and buy less vegetables/salads, especially tomatoes and cuc**bers. It was said, that the specific EHEC-germs likely come from those vegetables. That really is no panic, although it has big influence for farmers and retail sale. It is nothing about a loss of social order, a loss of internal order like she said.

We probably haven't dealt with extensive pandemics here in europe for a long period and even in areas where it is a bigger issue they got used to. Panic in context of pandemic you see more likely in disaster movies, though it is probably a big issue in special areas.

But Reissman's psychological first aid fits to all kind of panic I think. Even for natural catastrophes. It was really amazing hope japanese kept quiet after the big earth quake this year. But they also get used to in a way.

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.

Where I will be in ten years.

Ten years from now I will be in a political job assisting with people in the midlands of South Carolina particularly the rural working class and farmers. As the class of people that feed the nation I find that it is imperative that we assist with making sure they produce as much food as possible. I would like to support local scientists as well that are leading in research on how to produce food more efficiently. I will also be participating in missions to foreign countries to help people with…See More
