March 10, 2020. Tuesday.
My daughter is home from college for her spring break, my son is thrilled to see her. They spend hours playing video games and chatting secretly, erupting into full and loud laughter at unexpected moments.
My husband is working, but will be home for dinner. We are eating vegetarian this week because my daughter is home, and as always, we are eating gluten-free due to my celiac's disease. I slip up into the kitchen to prepare the meal: vegetarian stuffed peppers. Not my son's favorite, but he loves the rice stuffing. I am using my own tomato sauce, made and jarred as a family project in the past fall.
As a treat we make some gluten-free bread in the breadmaker and I serve it with some locally made butter.
Tomorrow we will take the bus to NYC for my meetings with my publisher and agent. The kids are tagging along and we'll spend the day in the city, eating at the gluten-free restaurants and maybe taking in a show.
