I gazed out of the window at the far away fields that grew our food and thought about how much effort wen't in to our dinner of rice noodles and vegetables that my sister prepaired. of course there wasn't any meat though, me and my sister who was eating with me were both vegetarian so we ate more vegetables than other people in our town.i broke eye contact with the window to take a bite from my diner plate. the food was warm and i could taste the vitamin's explode into my mouth from one small carrot that i knew we helped grow. though there wasn't much to do when working in the fields because of the constant rain and healthy dirt of washington state. the president declaired last year that every town must have a community garden large enough that if there was a food crises that it would be able to sustain such a large community. and that anyone who is able to work in the fields must work four hours everyday in the garden to be paid in that week's ration of food equal to the amount needed for that household. and that's how we got our food. actually that's how everyone got there food now. by working in the garden and getting your week's supply at the end of the previous week. and every time we eat our meal i'm reminded that whatever we ate has been worked for and given.
