The sky is sunny and the weather is warm. This makes a change from the cold Winter weather we've been having here in London all week. I lie on the couch and rest. A chance like this is rare in a career like mine. My apartment is small but I find it satisfactory. A new development in arcitecture. An entirely eco-friendly living area. I like it here. However, I shall not be here much longer. A slightly bigger house down the road. The news on TV blairs across the room: '..it is not too late! Studies have shown that there is actually still a chance to turn around the state that our environment is in. We still have a fighting chance!' I am happy.
You see, I am a bio-genetic engineer. Basically, I modify the human genome to find cures for diseases. I recently found my biggest advancement in research yet - a cure to cancer. The deal has still not been publicised but I have still been having endless calls on different pharmaceutical deals.
Once again, I hear my phone distinct 'Bring-bring'.
"Another offer", I think to mysef. I glance at the caller-ID. It is Alchemy. I immediately turn off the TV. This is a call I cannot miss.
