I will be brief, I do not know a single person who has had a good steak and didn't like it. One of those sizzling, perfectly marbled beauties that you don't even season because the person sitting next to you would scold you for ruining a masterpiece.
I also know that, when it comes to energy efficiency, vegetarian and vegan are the tops. Or, really, the bottoms of the energy pyramid ( where there's the most energy! )
I've helped three houses near me ( as a mundane, out of hero gentleman ) start up their gardens. I have taught three vegans how to make "Italian Medley Almond Cheese." They loved it, by the way!
I'm a big fan of vegetables, and fruits, and also meat. It isn't that I need meat ( I used to be a vegetarian, Lacto-ovo ) but I really like -good- meat. I never purchase fast food burgers, if I have a pepperoni pizza then I make it myself. There are some high end restaurants, and foreign countries ( Argentina? You guys are lucky, that steak is a blessing ) where I eat the steak for dessert.
Yes, slaughtering of animals, and yadda yadda yadda. If the abattoirs did not exist then chickens would already be extinct, and cows probably would not be any luckier. I don't support the big, industrial, disgusting ones though. Specialty, that is what the market needs! If we only had amazing, dessert quality meat ( it would be expensive, mark my words, like it ought to be ) then we would not have very much meat at all. That is a middle ground, and I act on it whenever I can. I make vegetarian meals for my friends ( energy pyramids people! ) and family, because dang-nabbit... well, I can't say it as well as Hanne Blank.
