Think creatively: start big, use constraints as a
filter and find the simplest solutions.
This is the way I see problems - I start at the highest level that the issue makes sense to me and then I dig down into the details. I also try to see the issue from as many different angles as possible - why does it exist, why do people choose to behave this way or that, who is profiting from the situation, where is the money, where is the power, where is the ignorance, what is the benefit and to whom? The more questions the better and then I try to flip it again - what other industry, culture, animal has a similar situation and what is their solution? and the bottom line: do the right thing regardless of the pressure and the politics and the pain...
