My choice is definitely Mohandas Ghandi. He was a man who managed to change an unjust system by employing non-violent civil disobedience. My favourite quote is "Be the change you want to see in the world." Ghandi was a lawyer but he left his service in order to be a social innovator. He lived according to his principles which he tried to promote and was the first one to set an example of how to fight injustice. There are a lot of people who only theorize about changing the system and improving the social situation but when it comes to taking action they are scared to give up commodities and to take risks. Loving the world is an abstract idea. People who say they love peace or hate war usually don't know what it takes to achieve those ideals. Ghandi truly believed in his ideals and was ready to sacrifice even his own life to achieve them.
