This mission asked me to pick only one secret! For goodness sake, how am i supposed to pick one if i have found many secrets that are useful and admirable yet simple?
My Favorite Secret Tips for Innovation:
- Listen to the right people (from Amy Smith): I believe that we continue to learn necessary stuff about social innovation if we're going to listen to those who have expertise and enough knowledge about certain subject matters. I remember during my first time to make a project proposal during my school days addresing the problem on proper waste segregation where every students from different levels can participate. I found it hard to make one on my own. So i decided to ask the help of my Club Adviser of Young Science Enthusiasts where I used to be the President during that time for the second term. Her inputs and comments really help me to create the Wrap-O-Raffle Project. Her suggestions and criticisms made great contributions for the improvement of this project.
- Innovate on Existing Platforms (from Ethan Zuckerman): Many projects are being implemented in the society today but sometimes, we found it less useful or not useful at all. We can actually recreate/innovate existing projects by adding some new elements and/or removing unnecessary elements.
- Think Creatively (from Paul Polak): Creativity is what makes the project interesting. With this, you can get the attention of the beneficiaries of this project and some private sectors to support the innitiative.
- Economic Sustainability (from Paul Polak): Let's accept the fact that many people will ignore your project unless it addresses about financial stability and security.
- Share (from Paul Polak): If the project work well and received good responses, don't hesitate to share it to others who would want to use your project and innovate it for the continuum of the innovation process.
