Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

My five UEvoke Heroes, Part IV: Michele Baron

I have to mention another female hero. You are all free to think of me as a helpless
feminist, I am going to be a gender activist (sometimes feminist, sometimes
maschilist) until we reach the required healthy balance.

Michele Baron, from Virginia (US) is my hero because she is the most tenacious Evoke
player of us all. Michele was ninged once on her attempt to share her ideas with the Network. Michele was ninged for being so VERY enthusiastic about the opportunity to share her knowledge and her time with us. Ning sent her a message saying that her excess of activity was suspicious, ning considered her a spamer! and kicked her out.

Michele did not want to leave Evoke, she came back. Since then, I have been in contact with her and I lost count of the times Michele, while working with us, has been rebooted to ning’s page and lost her notes and was forced to start over.

There were days when Michele was feeling frustrated for this situation but she never lost
her temper,
on the contrary! she would login again (over, and over) in order to continue her participation, showing strength, offering support to us with her comments instead of complaining or giving up.

I admire her, because if Ning would reboot me three times in a row in a span of less than 12 hours, I certainly would loose all my interest in the game and I would have quit, but Michele didn’t.

Against all odds, Michele completed all 10 Quests and all 30 mission objectives. You all would deduce that it took extra effort from her, not only because Michele has a family in her Alternate Reality (the real world, which is not a game), but also because Evoke experienced some “ning interferences” during the two days precedent to the official conclusion of this course. I was very worried she could not make it on time.

To conclude: Agent Michele Baron had this original and wonderful idea for her Evokation: she intends to create an opportunity during the Hajj pilgrimage (a time of peace between enemies) in the Muslim world to address and tackle those social and cultural disagreements, which directly or indirectly cause conflicts and poorness in the middle east.

This project is the tiny seed of a huge opportunity to Globally reach a time of peace. I make this statement because, as we all know, the wh*** world has been affected (in one way or another) by the increasing distress generated in the Muslim world.

Michele: thank you for being there and thank you for being the way you are.

and thank you very much for your support of Hajj for Humanity. I hope Hajj for Humanity can become a foundation for peace, understanding, and alleviation of poverty, hunger, and other problems, community by community, working with each leader, group and participants, around the world. it is tiny now, but seeds can grow, to sustain on their own, with support and participation. thank you again, ternura

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
