Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

It's probably rather common to choose to shadow Jane McGonigal, as I'm sure many gamers have found their way to this unique new "game." But her vision is so aligned with my own, for me, it seemed there was no more logical choice. So I followed her on Twitter, and have been ravenously reading everything I can find about this radical idea of gamers being heroes in the REAL world! I'm not only intrigued....I'm inspired and excited and my mind is a flurry with ideas!

I started a blog over on Blogger to keep track of my journey, and I've had some ideas about things that can actually be done with gamers that I "see" in games each day. If any of you reading this are gamers, particularly in MMOs, I would love it if you would come comment on my blog with your own ideas about what we, as gamers, might be able to do to affect the REAL persistent world while we're affecting the persistent online worlds.

I only have one post up right now, but I would love to hear anyone else's ideas on what they would like for me to research or write on, and what ideas anyone else might have, as well, for things that can be done that would be positive, life changing, and extraordinary. I intend to pursue this with a great dose of gaming fervor! :)

A good start would be to look at the wold around you. It may sound hoaky, but it is serious. There is likely things going on locally that you didn't even realize, let alone world-wide. Once you know what is going on then the ideas can form.

+1 Resourcefulness. A questions that I haven't yet found an answer to is how to get the "internet poor" to learn and participate in the virtual space.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.

Where I will be in ten years.

Ten years from now I will be in a political job assisting with people in the midlands of South Carolina particularly the rural working class and farmers. As the class of people that feed the nation I find that it is imperative that we assist with making sure they produce as much food as possible. I would like to support local scientists as well that are leading in research on how to produce food more efficiently. I will also be participating in missions to foreign countries to help people with…See More
