A crash course in changing the world.
I have many heroes when it comes to social innovators. I'll pick Nicholas Negroponte and his 'One Laptop per Child' scheme for now since his grand visions are fairly inspiring and it seems to be the most apt to this discussion. For a more in depth look at what he has been up to follow this link:

If you're an Amreican you may have heard of the 'give one get one' initiative he launched in the states, which should eventually lead to free laptops for billions. The laptops were custom designed to run at low power and are recharged using an AC adapter which itself can be recharged using body power. They also have several other interesting innovations such as a new LCD display which functions BETTER in bright areas.
Watch the TED talk its only 18 minutes.
I was tempted to pick Jane McGonigal since it was her TED talk which made me aware of Evoke in the first place, but if your here at Evoke, she's already reached you, whether you are aware of it or not.
