Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

*Welcome to Evoke*

*If you need translation, please message me*

This is the new agent rest stop. Here is your chance to share what brought you here, where you have been, and where you are going. You could post about you community, and what you want to learn here to help, or tell us about world change you would like to be part of. You could give a quick overview of what you are doing in highschool, what have been working on since graduating college, or how your career has been. You can ask for help, offer help if you can, or just cool your heels before becoming an super agent. I know you can do it! Just think about who you are, and share with your fellow agents! The Evoke community is ready to listen! With your post here, you are saying "Hello World!" Lets hear what you got!

Hi, all! It's been great time with the blogs and etc, Am working in the non-pforit sector, working with the community that in some cases has the similar challenges. So, i just want to share what has happened here, particularly in the community I've been working with for almost a year and would be great if you guys could help me with the ideas or anything that will help this community development process go smoothly and results an empowered community with a better life. Thanks! :)

To new agents,

Scream if you have to. This place is so full of so many busy people that its easy to feel like you're not being heard and no one cares.
Remember that the points are not a value or measure of your idea or your personal contribution. Don't let them silence you. You're valuable all by yourself.
Instead of trying to "win", realize that winning is striking up a conversation with someone on this network and seeing where it goes.
If it looks like someone needs help, give it to them. If it sounds like someone needs guidance, hand it out. If it seems like you have a bit of information that could change the course of how another person could evoke, let them know.
And if you need help and you think another person might be able to, ask. But don't be disappointed if they don't answer, ask someone else. You'll find helpful people eventually.
And remember that you don't have to just stick with the agents in this network to change the world. Every person you know in real life has just as much amazing skill and ability as anyone here. Think about what they are and about ways you could get them involved with your project and better yet, because they already know you, chances are they'll help because it sounds really interesting and you're fired up about it.
Stay positive. Remember that disappointment is built into this game. And its not that you failed and you should stop playing because you failed, it that you should know even the most successful people, even though they seems like they never have failed have a day in their life, chances are they've failed more often and much worse then you. The difference is they didn't stop.

Good luck! Change the world!

I got caught in a phonebooth changing into my costume, trying to help students get out of town after their finals were over.

Good to see all the agents assembling. And thanks Gabriel for keeping up the momentum!

Found this website while watching a video from TED about games changing/saving the world. It somehow made me realize that there's more to gaming than shooting aliens and bumping cars. I'm a new guy, 20 year old college student from the Philippines. The game looked interesting enough for me to try and is the first of it's kind. (Atleast for me... I haven't tried any other game like this) Here's to hoping that this game will make me sit like WoW or Halo. Cheers!

Hi Luis and welcome here :) The game is really different, but can be addictive too ;) The hardest is to begin !

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
