A crash course in changing the world.

*Welcome to Evoke*

*If you need translation, please message me*

This is the new agent rest stop. Here is your chance to share what brought you here, where you have been, and where you are going. You could post about you community, and what you want to learn here to help, or tell us about world change you would like to be part of. You could give a quick overview of what you are doing in highschool, what have been working on since graduating college, or how your career has been. You can ask for help, offer help if you can, or just cool your heels before becoming an super agent. I know you can do it! Just think about who you are, and share with your fellow agents! The Evoke community is ready to listen! With your post here, you are saying "Hello World!" Lets hear what you got!

Great idea for this thread. Thanks Gabriel. I'm so glad I joined Evoke because it has fueled my passion to further my social entrepreneurship goals. I'd like to take this time to share this idea with all of you and I hope that you'll find interest in it and want to join the cause.

I'm creating a non-profit organization called "Hope for the Homeless." It's designed to function much like Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Homeless people would be paired up with regular people that would help them out with their daily struggles.

If this interests you in any way, please contact me.

thanks and KEEP EVOKING!

Hi all, if you're new it's never too late, some tips that I've learned:
1. WHAT TO DO FIRST:
Finish the Quest and Missions for week 1 by reading and following the suggested links, then post your 'EVIDENCE' which is either a blog, photo or video. Doesn't have to be one you made just one you've found that refers to the topic. Then look at the other weeks and pick one that strikes your fancy. Search under learn1, act1 or vision1 for examples to start out with.
2. TAG YOUR EVIDENCE:
Tag your evidence according to the instructions on the Mission, typically type and episode number, very important or your rune won't light up to show as completed, (i.e. act3, vision6) plus others if you want (i.e. solarenergy).
3. NAMING CONVENTION TIP:
I name all my posts prefexed by the type and number (i.e. LEARN1) because I want to remember what it was for, it gets muddled when there's a lot of them and this is a clear visual if I want to go back and update my Evidence post.
4. MARKING IT COMPLETE:
Once you've posted your Evidence, in your Profile, scroll down to the drop box. Make sure it matches the Mission week topic and select the type (Learn/Act/Imagine), click on one of the skills you post pertains to, (this also gives you a point for the skill), click Save button, and yay you're done. I've noticed that there is a delay for photo and video Evidence to show up so I wait for a hour or so and in my Profile open the Evidence post, then follow Number 4. This is another reason why I used the standard name, I would forget what the Evidence was for.
5. VOTE FOR OTHERS:
On the Evidence page (link in top menu), have a look at what others have posted, if you like it, click on a skill and presto, you've given them a point too. I always like to leave a comment for them why I liked it, sometimes even just one word such as Inspiring!

Just a few to get you started, hope this helps.

I have a desire to open a business and train some people who are considered by most people can not do something and not useful, because I think everyone can do something, but it may never be a chance to be able to do something ..!

but how can start it because I do not have capital (money) is enough?

I would be very happy if anyone would provide all his idea ....., Thanks

To all new agents...

All I can say is that Evoke has change my views on myself more than anything else. I used to do things before anonymously for people. But now I have honed my skills more here, reading and finding things that have given me new facets to consider in what I do.

Sure, the questions may look simple. But over time, you too might find yourself challenging your opinion or sensibility. I am not sure what path I will follow after Evoke or where it will lead me.

But I do know I am glad I came here. Thank you again to the TED talk (forgive me, I do not remember the speaker) that drew me here. And thank you to Gabriel for being a veritable cheering/rallying/more friend.

Evoke can change you. I know it did for me.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

The meal

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
