Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Maybe some of you readers are familiar with the game Civilization by Sid Meier. In early versions you needed entertainers to keep your population in check. That is my basic idea of establishing a crisis network which can also provide support in time of need.

First, you will have a hard time identifying those who can help. But normally you can also use a mechanic – before any crisis occurs – to categorize different tastes and also different artists. We also need the information who are local artist and where can you find them. This data has to evaluated before anything happens. This information is crucial. You need the right artitst at the right time - to keep your population in check.

In case of emergency panic is always an higher immediate threat than any pandemic or other natural disasters. A pandemic shows its effect later, a natural disaster ends (F**ushima is an exception to this rule) – panic and violence normally go on.

So you have to prevent your population from panicking. In case of emergency you can provide soothing entertainment in a, depending on environment conditions, variety of ways. Keep them distracted, either by radio programs (internet radio especially – it is much easier to create a new channel here), movies or live broadcasts which can be received my mobile phones. Of course there is also an option to see the entertainers live.

It is important that everybody CAN be affected individually but that in case people stay in a group they have to be affected collectively. The artists are advised to include current news and information in their programs to satisfy the audiences’ desire for information.

If utterly correct information is provided or not is a different question, the most important issue is credibility.
The general idea is communication on an individual level, so that one line applies:

“Ein Mensch ist intelligent, viele Menschen sind eine dumme Horde.“ A rough translation would be:
„One man is bright; many men are a mindless crowd.”

We do not need a rampaging mindless crowd in critical times.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
