Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Hello fellow agents,

You might be curious about what the points scores are, which are listed on the mission objectives. "This mission is worth + ... [power]". I was, so I asked around a bit.

I'd assumed that they were points scores which would be awarded by the game's admins when we'd submitted our evidence, as long as it was a reasonable attempt.

No - apparently no judging of evidence is taking place at this time. Don't count on getting those points!

Edited to add: At the moment, the points are ADDED AUTOMATICALLY to your power points when you label your evidence. But this doesn't mean they will be judged that way when you submit your evidence at the end of the game. Thanks to everyone who helped me understand how this works!

The points score listed in the mission objectives are just hypothetical.

The idea is that they can be used as a guide as to what kind of impact we should be aiming for, or to help us plan our EVOKE journey.

What kind of work that you do would be worth +10 resourcefulness, or +20 creativity or whatever? It's your EVOKE journey, you choose where and how to apply your effort.

It's a red herring.

Hi Starling, I thought they were assigned automatically when you label evidence...

Hi Ethan - if that's the case then that system is not working for me, is it working differently for you? For example my ACT3 post here http://www.urgentevoke.com/profiles/blogs/dehumidifier-power-pull-the hasn't been awarded the points stated in the Mission 3 objective. That's what made me notice.

that act is 10 resourcefulness, you have thirty total,
if you can count more than 20 res votes among your other blogs, pictures,
videos plus mission points, then I would say its not working,
is that the case?

The points don't show up in the post itself, but should show up in your total points on your profile page. I've definitely gotten the points for each mission automatically as soon as a log the mission.

Hmm, I was expecting the points would be visible when I went to that piece of evidence. So for example when I look at that mission under the drop-down menu for my evidence, it tells me how many points each has been awarded. Wouldn't the mission objective points be visible there?

Evidence log, I mean.
Comment by Turil Cronburg on April 25, 2010 at 6:07pm
That seems logical, yet it's not the case. The points that show up in the pull down menu and on the post itself are only the points awarded by other players, not official Evoke points. Weird, I know...

mistakes do happen
count your resourcefulness pointson your blog posts

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
