Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Hello fellow agents,
I want to share this page with you
http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-eco-wallet/95798146180

The idea of making a wallet out of a tetra-brick comes form many places, this particular system has its origin in Spain. I created this page last year because a friend of mine wanted to have the instructions clearly explained in English on the Internet.

We carry these wallets with us, when we pay at the supermarket counter we rise a
certain reaction. can you imagine their faces?. Our intention is to draw attention to the MASSIVE amount of waste that´s being produced due to our modern lifestyle, because most people around us is doing just nothing about it!.

Pollution should be of big concern for everyone. Most of you have already heard about the newly created Pacific island:
http://www.ted.com/talks/capt_charles_moore_on_the_seas_of_plastic.html

How our planet will be like in ten years if we keep ignoring the golden rule of the 3R´s?
Moreover, recycling is not a solution at all. Humankind has to re-invent the way we pack, we store, we choose & buy. New materials have to be developed and we have to be re-educated as consumers.

In ten years, when Alchemy calls me I expect to be part of a growing group of families which took the challenge of responsible consumerism and started a fundamental change in our community reaching and beating the adminsitrative and political barriers and catched the attention of important suppliers, increasing the Corporate Social Responsibility of private and public institutions. This has to happen in whichever country that I will be living in.

Yes, I know of the plastics in the oceans. It's appalling isn't it what we have done to the planet? I've seen the video you referred to as well. I have long been an opponent of plastics and recently per Panamericana become aware of yet another casualty to the 70,000 to 90,000 chemicals which inundate our environment: http://topdoc**entaryfilms.com/the-disappearing-male/

When Pan sent this to me I recognized the phenomenon as an excessive yin which is a consequence of the excessive yang which has infected our planet since the rise of patriarchy.
Fascinating...balance must always be maintained; either in healthy, conscious ways or otherwise...

Well written. I love the wallet! I am going to make one even though I already have a wallet (i'll give it to someone who needs it).

I wish I could tap into the collective consciousness of the planet to know what holds us back as a species from not only saving ourselves in the long-term, but from living in beautiful, sustainable harmony with one another.

I like your words, what hold us back as species is precisely ourselves! I would love to see a picture of your eco-wallet, you could post it here at evoke or post it in the wallet´s official facebook page. Thank you!

I am thinking, that now, the only solution to waste management is creating a black h*** to suck it up....Maybe if the experiments at the LHC are successful...

@Samira, thanks for visiting! Once I heard that we could reach a black h*** up in the space and bin our waste there.
Your idea is even better: the best thing about the Massive amount of garbage is that we will be able to use it as a source of energy in the future. I am sure there is many people currently working on that ;-), T

good post. "Reduce, reuse, recycle" was the theme at my little boys' school. Many land-fills (of bio and garbage waste) are being capped and "farmed" for methane gas (often asisted by injections of micro-organic feeder organisms...). I wonder what kind of elemental reaction might result if inorganic and organic waste-loads ever did reach the vital core of a black h***? Thanks, Temura

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
