Identification and description of hazard:
What types of hazard?
What is the frequency?
What is the extent of damage?
3. VULNERABILITY A****SMENT
Social Profile: Population, decadal growth rate, fluctuation in growth rate, population of scheduled tribe/caste, slums dwellers, if any, housing quality, accessibility to services.
4. CAPABILITY A****SMENT
Awareness about natural disaster, preparedness.
5. Institutional Framework
Municipal Corporation, if any; Urban Housing Department; Water Supply and Sewerage (DWS&SD); Sanitation and Solid waste; Electricity Board
6. Community Consultation
Wide-ranging stakeholder consultations including elected representatives, heads of government departments, NGO’s, trade / business/ industry associations, welfare associations, public in general, urban poor (through ward meetings) and professional bodies. Based on the consultative process, the plan proposals need to be prepared. Gender issue need to be taken into consideration during stakeholder consultations.
