Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

It’s been a while that we all finished university. So this is 2020 and today we all meet again. The world changed a bit – it always does.
The biggest difference to 2012 is that the use of sustainable energy is absolutely common. I mean not only did we shut down all nuclear plants and the day to day electricity in our sockets comes from wind and solar energy. On a special day like this we have our own portable solar panels with us.
We meet at the river like we used to eight years ago. This time however the barbecue is working with our small solar panels (some years ago scientists discovered that the coal BBQ provokes cancer so we quit that). Also the lights we need when it turns dark work like that. 30 minutes of charging in the sun are enough to make these new lamps shine for nine hours!
Music comes from loudspeakers working with biogas. Half a liter of biogas is enough to make the music play all night long. And the device is really handy! Put it in your backpack and there is still enough space for loads of beer!
Everyone in 2012 is afraid that the change in energy supply will be difficult and expensive. However in 2020 we see that because solar panels, wind turbines, biogas are so common, they are a wh*** lot cheaper. All these techniques are so cheap and small, everyone has some of these devices and uses them – for example at our reunion. It is good fun!
