"Thinking outside the box" has begun to trouble me lately. Psychological research recently shows that we are good at identifying bias in others and lousy at seeing it in ourselves suggesting that we can't be sure of which boxes confine us. Perhaps the goal needs to be, listening outside the box making ourselves receptive to truly new ideas (or new to us) before trying to come up with our own.

In fact, by definition - thinking outside the box is thinking outside another's box ... just a thought. Cheers.

As you probably already figured out, the overwhelming evidence I've seen is that the absolute most important thing you can do to improve your abilities in every way, is to make sure that you're getting high quality food, water, air, warmth, light, and that you seek out outlets where you have the freedom to express yourself. As long as you pay at least some attention to these things every day, you will naturally grow and evolve into a more good, true, beautiful, and inspiring person. It really is both as complex, and as simple, as that. But don't trust me, try it out for yourself and see how much better you become at everything you do. Maybe do a trial study on yourself for a couple of weeks, making a new ritual of increasing the quality of at least one of your basic needs every day. Improve the quality of your food, water, and breathing, make sure that your heart is warm and comfy, that you're getting enough sunlight, and that you're finding people and places that welcome your expressions, physically, emotionally, intellectually, and/or spiritually, and just watch how your wh*** rest of your life improves as well.

I like your thinking fellas. Let's start working with that! I'll work out a CHANGEMIND post.

Koshy, it's the same technique that airplane pilots use. They have a checklist of the basic necessities of flying, and they go through it every single time they are preparing to fly. Every time. And now it's starting to be shown to be ideal for doctors as well. Because when we are focusing on higher goals (like flying!) we sometimes don't give the more rudimentary goals enough attention, and that's when things get messy. So having that constant ritual of checking to make sure the basics are covered is invaluable. Making it a ritual to check our own human version of the fuel gauge and instrument function frees up our conscious attention for working on more complex things, like, well, flying!

A great idea to start a collaborative project around this topic Agent Lampe. +30 Spark. Do entrepreneurs and innovators have certain mindset attributes?

Great Idea! We're doing a community forum tonight for a bunch of churches, schools, hospitals, and the like, to start their own gardens onsite. We're sharing our space and knowledge with them for free, in hopes that they'll take that information home to their locations and start up their own gardens.

im delighted to see the resonance we get with this!

as for the mindset of entrepreneurs and innovators... i think both need not be afraid of ridiculing themselves as well as confidence in their goals as well as some staying power next to a vision and the traits mentioned above.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
