probably don’t know what it’s like to carry fifty pounds of firewood on
your head. Well, don’t pretend that you do. Talk to someone who has
done it. I believe that the key to innovation in international
development is truly understanding the problem, and using your
imagination is not good enough.
The one thing that us social entrepreneurs have in common is having a clear vision of what we want to accomplish. And I think that can in a way, limit us. Yes, we must have a die-hard attitude to accomplish our goal, but we must always be willing to take a step back and listen to those that have the experience. We are involved in something much bigger than ourselves. We should act like it.
