My favorite tip about social innovation is "go to where the action is." I think this is a key element of real social innovation. Donating money and resources from afar is great, but it will only provide temporary relief. If we want to truly be effective agents of change, we need to physically go to where the problems are and work to fix them. Often, I think people stay away from where social problems are actually occurring because they don't want to leave their comfort zones. But the reality is, real change occurs when people take action where the problem is.
