So, as far as I can tell, this social network is falling prey to what most if not all societies have already been infected by...a lack of trust. It seems that we, the players, don't really trust the governance of the "game". Since most of us probably don't trust our own governments, the World Bank, or any other hierarchical social systems in which power is centralized in a less-than-transparent way, this is neither surprising nor unexpected. Ideally, even the creator understood and expected this.
Some amazing things have happened. The linear leader board was replaced by a less linear, though still hierarchical (just via different criteria) leader cloud. Unless that was the intention of the game designer, I think its safe to say that the game is evolving with us at this point.
Some people have created networks to be sustained once Evoke closes. These networks will likely prove to be the legacy of Evoke, since they will continue the process of evolution along their own environmental lines, the children of Evoke as it were.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8506668136396723343#Much as this video demonstrates that our parents give us a tremendous amount of our pre-existing conditions where from we develop, it also clearly states that its our belief systems that determine what of our heredity is made active and effective.
Surely, much of what has happened here will continue on. I did not create this blog to teach or to self-congratulate. I created this blog to prompt the question that many of us have already asked ourselves, in one way or another.
Women, divine goddesses, Shakti incarnate...have any of you ever looked upon your mother and thought, "I hope I don't do THAT when I'm older" only to forget and then repeat similar or nearly exact patterns as you approached the same age? Men, powerful gods, Siva incarnate...has this happened with regards to your fathers?
It is imperative that we recognize and demystify the flaws of Evoke, so that future systems, as offspring of Evoke, do not repeat and re-embody these same attributes. This can be done with pure lovingness towards Evoke, with respect, awe and a desire not to belittle something great, but to evolve consciously with full recognition of what we're leaving behind as much as what we're embracing.
