Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

I initially started this blog with 1 suggestion, but I'm finding a few others I think that would be useful. In the past I've written similar blogs and the site implemented a few, so I figured I'd give it another try.

1. Add user blogs as examples in mission descriptions
I have been going through trying to complete the missions, because I realized how much I have been learning by having some direction with my thought and research. However, I noticed something which has been bothering me...When I'm reading about the mission objectives, there is no easy way for me to read other agent's blogs who have already completed the mission.

If you notice, we do label our blogs as "evidence" for a certain mission, and they are nicely categorized within our profile, but it would be nice to see the evidence organized this way for everyone to see. I went through the Evidence tab, and found no way to sort evidence there either.

I know the initial idea was to have people "tag" their posts in the tags and subject area, but since we have to "tag" the evidence by mission in order to receive our "Power Votes", it would seem to make sense to leverage that tag in helping people use the site :)

2. Have a button to "follow agent" at the top of every blog
I've been trying to figure out how to NOT get this spam from everyone on the site, but realized it was one of the few effective ways for people to keep up with new blogs.

I'd like to suggest adding a "follow agent" button at the top of each blog, which will email you when a new blog is written by that agent. There might be a "seriously follow agent" button which would email you every time that agent makes a comment as well.

With this new button, I would be comfortable telling people to STOP SPAMMING. But until then, I guess KEEP SPAMMING, because it does help me find blogs...ugh, can't believe I'm saying that. Please Evoke, help us stop spamming each other.

Thank you, I love your Idea of having a 'follow agent' button.
I have already attempted to organize evoke a little,
I hope you come up with more great ideas.

i like spam - if we think outside the box and check our spam we get to things we never imagined possible

Er... there already is a "follow" button on agent's main blog page (and their photo and video pages as well). That's what I use to follow the few people I really, really appreciate and want to see everything they do.

Thanks for the feed back guys.

@AV Koshy - I'm not saying to get rid of the spam feature, but if I know I can keep up with 95% of the things I want to read, I can sort through the spam later. It's just an efficiency thing for me. We use similar things at work to help us categorize issues hehe.

@Turil - I know about the follow button, but it's very difficult to get to, and I've only successfully found it once. Another problem with having to go all the way to the person's profile is that it interrupts the flow of usage. If Evoke is interested in things like usage stats, they should consider that once you go to a user's profile, you are going to change the way you use the site because you have clicked around a bunch to get there, and are no longer in the same mode of surfing. You have switched from a topical surf to a agent search.

Seriously, Where is it?

I found it! It's at the end of the blog list if you click on a person's blog list. lol, no wonder I could only find it once!
