Hello. I'm here on the scene of the debut of the "Maximize the Minimum" organization in Africa. This is a brand new organization that is here in Africa, attempting to enforce humane minimum wages. Three months previously, a world Economic Summit was held in Tokyo, Japan, where leaders of many countries met. Due to the massive economic boom in Japan--which has continued steadily beginning in late 2010--leaders felt that Tokyo would be the ideal location.
*Note: the president of the United States of America was unavailable, due to an unexpected case of severe food poisoning. I'm sure you've all heard about the recent crisis in the U.S. concerning contaminated crops. It seems as if even those sitting in the White House haven't escaped. More on that later. The organization was approved despite the absence of the president.
Leaders from large countries such as Canada, Great Britain, France, Russia, and China expressed their sentiment that it is time to clean up the poverty situation in Africa, beginning in the country of Kenya. Scouts from the organization--which was founded by the U.N.-- have been sent out, region by region, to help locate places where workers are laboring under indecent or inhumane conditions, and receive pay that is too little (per hour) under the extreme minimum of 15 shillings an hour allotted by the government. *By the way, the 15 shillings per hour is the average pay for an unskilled agricultural worker.
The Maximize the Minimum organization functions, in some ways, as an undercover economic "spy" group. Some of the locale where agents will be scouting aren't very safe. However, the organization administrator (who wishes to remain anonymous, at this point) assures us that any agents sent to such insecure areas are well trained and prepared for any dangers that they might encounter.
