My favorite secret is how having limited resources forces you to reuse the same resources again (creatively).
This is my favorite secret because being forced to reuse resources is not a wall that stops you from doing something else.
Rather, from being forced to reuse a resources, you are able to rethink NEW ways of using the resources more effectively.
An example is, if you're stuck having only one tractor, the first time you use it, you plow the field in a square motion starting from the middle. The next time you plow in rows motion. Then the third time you plow in columns motion.
From the fact that you reuse the tractor to plow differently, you are able to see which ways are more effective than the others, and how to add to it creatively to help yourself.
For me, if I'm stuck with only a plastic box with a cover to do different tasks, I could use the box under leaking air conditioners to store the leaking water then pour it to the flowers in the garden. I could reuse the box (after washing) to store accessories, another way to use the box is to store food in the refrigerator.
By reusing the box instead of throwing it away, it keeps the environment safe from one thrown away plastic container!
