A crash course in changing the world.

The Future in 100 years! What are your thoughts?

The Future in 100 years! What are your thoughts?

"Good morning. You have to stand up now. There is a traffic jam on the streets. Your coffee stands in the kitchen.“

Will we wake up like this in 100 years? Maybe. Maybe there will be a robot in every house who does almost everything for you. Or the light is switched on automatically at 6:00 a.m. and you know that you have to get up. Maybe then you will have a look out of an electronic window which opens when you clap your hands twice. But what will we see by looking out of this window? And how will our lifes look like? What would have changed and what would be still the same?

I think this question about the future in 100 years has turned into an FAQ. Many people are curious about that. Even if we cannot predict what will happen we use our fantasy to imagine the new world.

But there are not only fictional and invented facts about the year 2110. Many things are planned and seem to be sure to exist in the future. Today we can say more about the future than you may have thought.
For example scientists plan moon-tourism in 2110. So maybe the children of your children are going to have a class-trip to the moon! They will collect stones and talk about the universe when they come back. The first flights to Mars are also planned and in 100 years people are possibly going to find the first settlements there.

You surely will also buy your clothes or food with digital money. First big efforts with electronic pay-systems have been made at the end of the 20th century. Digital money could displace the national currencies totally.
Possibly your parents are able to control everything you do because they can watch where you go and who comes with you. If you go to a party although you are not allowed to, your dad could appear and drive you home. He would have beamed himself to you. Horrifying…

Maybe every street will be built in the air and you drive in heights of a few hundred feet.

But surely another thing is the biggest problem of 2110: It is the change of climate. No matter which ideas or wishes you have for future, climate will play an important role.

The wh*** world is talking about that now, and many people must start trying to stop global warming. But will that be successful? Possibly the poles will melt away like winter snow and so the water levels increase. Winter time gets shorter and shorter even now. You will miss snowball fights and building snowmen with your family.

Also other problems with our environment will bring us into some trouble. Even in 2050 scientists forecast that the tropics will be completely destroyed. This will not only cause climate and economic effects, but also consequences for animals and inhabitants there. What about all the coal and oil? Sometimes everything will be used up. It seems like there will be more problems than we need in the future if you consider our environment.

But future will also reveal new possibilities and many positive innovations to us. While astronauts get to know our galaxies there will maybe be medicaments for a longer life or new electronic locks will be made so you can live on the safe side of life.

Not to forget there will be innovations in the genetic engineering. Whether this is good or bad – who knows? The opinions are different. But imagine your heart is not beating well anymore and you just cultivate a new one. You have problems with your brain so you just raise a new one. There will be test tube hands and test tube animals. People forecast that first laws will be made in 2110 that should protect you from genetic misuse.

In the end the future seems to create a totally different world. With advantages and disadvantages. The future may look dim but nevertheless I think we should look forward to 2110 and we should try to make the world a better place. If we start more and more to protect our world from pollution and violence, we surely will create a better tomorrow.

What do you think the future holds for us?

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
