Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

The Urgent Evoke Season 1 is soon over, however, I feel like something is just starting now! The biggest mistake one can do is to dream big, to gather motivation, and then to fail on reaching their dreams because of not acting. This is one of the main messages I would like to pass on to all my fellow agents.

So what's next?

Great challenges and social problems to be tackled

- The first thing immediately coming to my mind is that we will need to fight attitudes. Our own ones, and the ones of others. We need to convince a lot of people to prove our right, to show that things can be done in a different way, that comfort can be given up for the sake of happiness of more and more of us in the society. How do we go about it??
- Another very interesting issue has come to my mind from a discussion with my mum today: children's opportunities, and responsibility towards the way they are being brought up. It is very much connected to the field of education, in many ways (classical education systems, parental education, extracurricular opportunities). First: how can we bring education to all kids in the world? How can we create education systems in the different local realities, that support the development of the local societies? What does an education system look which is nurturing responsible adults? How can teachers be parents instead of parents, in the case of students that are having serious problems with their own ones?

(And of course, there is no stop with the current issues, that have already been addressed, there is still a looong way to go with solving them.)

What are the new places for building up Evoke communities?

Very easy answer: EVERYWHERE! Each continent has their own social challenges and issues to tackle, and even in the developed world countries are facing serious hardships finding the solutions. I believe in each country we need Evoke agents, to think about their own realities, to learn, and act for the future of their communities.

Who would I encourage to play Season 2?

First of all, students, everywhere in the world, between the age of 15 and 30. This period of life is proven to be the most capacious and creative of our wh*** lives, so we should think of how to turn it best for the benefit of our societies. Specifically, I would invite university students that study economics to go through this course - it would be an extremely important addition to what they learn at uni...

What new tools would I suggest?

It would be interesting to somehow encourage cooperation between Evoke Agents. Like to pair or group up agents for a couple of missions, and evaluate their results as a team, not as individuals. Would give an extra learning point for all agents, I believe, plus the network could perhaps become somehow stronger.

Why would I come back for a second season?

If it won't have the exact same missions and tasks, I definitely will check it out and probably jump into it! There is always more to learn, new perspectives, new people, new ideas... I don't say I would do it again and again for a lifetime, but as I did not have much time to go deep into each tasks (because of the work I do besides the course), so for me 1 or 2 more seasons would certainly give an additional value still.

Thank you for the opportunity!!!

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
