I've seen poverty with my own eyes, smelt it, and even in a way felt it.
The 'secret' "Problems are not always obvious from afar." Speaks mostly
to me in that way, when you see the peoples suffering, and live amongst
people who barely can afford food for one person, let alone a wh***
family, you realize how truly blessed you are, and in a way feel as
though you should fix it. This secret tells me that a country, city,
town or any family may seem fine on the outside, but it may slowly be
crumbling within. Those who are crumbling are the best at hiding it as well, take china for example. They have a problem with over population and in some parts, it is covered in nothing but trash. But do they show that they are having troubles? Obviously not, considering they spent $483,000,000 on building a single stadium for the Olympics, which costs $9,000,000 of upkeep each year. That's money that could be spent helping it's citizens rather then its tourist attractions, wouldn't you say? What if africa did the exact same thing, or what if China decided to help africa, and itself, instead of spend their money on "toys". If the world were to help those people in dire need of
assistance first, then possibly the economy would improve, and thus
help the wh*** world. It sounds rather irrational, but lowering their
taxes, or sending someone to help said people could really affect their
lives. If we change the face of poverty for the third world countries,
then that starts a chain reaction that helps everyone else as well. We
have to help those who can't help themselves before we make any big
decisions that we may regret.
