A crash course in changing the world.
It is Detroit in 2020 and bartering home grown produce, access to growing space and growing equipment is big business, really big local business. Whether you have a old house with a large backyard, or a sun facing window in your apartment or a roof of a shed. If you have space that gets some sunlight, a little know how, and the ability to obtain either seeds or seedlings you can grow some food.
But what do you do with that food is how this has to do with money. You can eat it. Or trade it. You can trade your growing space to someone else. You can trade the know how of growing a particular something to others who may want to grow that micro crop.
This is the shadow economy and you can barter many things, even weeding and watering time, As more people get the hang of growing a little food, human nature will lead people to trade what they have extra of for something they want. We just need to start the momentum with getting people to grow a little food so they have something extra to trade.
