Using living plants and microorganisms to clean water

During my research period I found a technology from Worrell Water Technologies called Living Machine® wich uses living plants and beneficial microorganisms to turn wastewater into clean water. They claim that their systems produces cleaner water than others and that whey a zoo in the Netherlands implemented it, they reduced their water bills by 84%

This sistem is suitable for:

  • municipalities
  • residential and office developments
  • schools
  • hotels and resorts
  • government facilities
  • business and industry
  • the military
  • zoos and animal shelters
  • farms and food processing facilities

Even though it is to complex to be used in homes it is innovative, because it uses nature plants to clean water, certainly resembling how nature cleans water every day.
