Please don't be confused, but I don't see any testimonies from the
community in which the water projects are to help. All the water project
don't really give a full detail of how their programs have touched the
lives of the disadvantage people. But instead they only give general
description of what they initiatives and their affiliates.
There is simply no tangible evidence that shows how a particular technology or product has helped provide drinking for the people.
However,
the one project that got my attention was the PLAY PUMP. I think part
of the reason why the play was successful was the fact they were able to
get the locals and natives involved in the process. Unlike most of the
projects mentioned in this article, the WATER PUMP article created a
grass root movement by using traditional activity such as children
playing to create a positve change.
The use of Children playing
as mechanism for pumping water is very innovative. It reminds me of the
sea-sew energy playground invented by Daniel Sheridan . They both use
mechanical energy through playing l to generate water and electricity.
This is truly inspiring and motivating. This is what will eradicate
poverty in Africa
