Water Wars -- World Water Day, 2020

By 2020, the state of the world's water supply is projected to be pretty stark, and this is likely to spur conflicts between several countries. I propose that World Water Day should address this... perhaps in a game!

I propose a live-action game in which each participant is given water "points" which represent all the water they may use for the day. These are determined randomly, along with assignment of an associated country. They log their activities to "use" the water points they've acc**ulated, representing their use of water, which they agree to limit for the day to what is possible using their points.

Players can locate others via a gps map, and may virtually fight to steal one another's water, if they are close enough. From time to time during the day, real locations are highlighted as refresh points. Anyone going there may stock up on virtual water (and naturally "fight" others for access to their virtual water). Real watergun fights are also encouraged at these locations to gain water.

I think a virtual fight for water could be a lot of fun- maybe involved a card game or so for betting?

I guess I'd imagined something that was half online, half in the real world, with the computer tallying the numbers, though I don't see why you couldn't have some kind of offline decision process like a card game... why not?

This is not fun, but the water wars game is a virtual imagination for a real World.

Iyamuremye, the goal/idea was to set up a virtual competition to have fun with & play on the day while educating people about the serious issue underlying it. As I think about it, games like this have made millions of dollars... perhaps such a game with proceeds donated to water charities would be an additional spin it could be given.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
