A crash course in changing the world.
I'm relatively new here, but I've noticed a few comments from old timers about the game, and how it may not provide them with ... something ... for their time/energy when it ends, about whether it is fair, and so on.
First, consider what this game really is, at its heart. It is an experiment in trying to encourage people to work hard on issues of genuine importance using the structure of a game. The official structure of the game is closed form, with an eventual set of people being rewarded. These people may or may not be the "most deserving" for a variety of reasons. The end of the game will be sad, and the winner selection may or may not be disappointing to some.
So, with the game half over, maybe it's time to see if there's something people would rather see after the 10th mission. Should it close up shop/get archived when the prize is awarded, or is there something here you'd like to see go on?
Assuming the admins kept the site going, but did not themselves produce any more weekly missions/stories, what would we do here? Produce our own critical issues to discuss? A next step beyond the current "ACT" missions for putting things into practice?
