As this network grows we need to hear more voices from around the world. I have been honored to meet so many of you from India, South Africa, Chile & Argentina, Uganda, Italy, the UK, Canada, the US and many more countries. What about Cote d'Ivoire? Madagascar? Peru? Indonesia? The Phillippines?
Many of the most crisis-prone areas are also among the lowest in the world for internet penetration, the essential step needed to make sure that we're bringing great leaders on board around the world. We MUST WORK ON INTERNET ACCESS ISSUES FIRST.
Access to information is the number one block I've seen to getting things done with NGOs, governments and publics in many countries. Making EVOKE available by mobile phone is an essential first step for future success.
I am glad we have seen so many young leaders, college students and young adults at the start of their career -- it has also been wonderful to see leaders like BuffyB who are retired from their first careers and are now free to follow their passions and pursuits. We need more seniors in service who can mentor young leaders and I hope we will reach out to potential Evoke agents over the age of 55.
