A crash course in changing the world.
Though I may only have joined the Evoke for 2 days, the things I have learned would have taken me a wh*** yaer to research about. I have the urge to spread the word. This year it is my senior year in high school. I want to leave a legacy behind me when I leave the school. Not one of being the mastermind of a schoolwide prank (though I wouldn't mind). But rather I want to make the biggest impact on the student body that any single (or group if I can find supporters in school) student has ever done.
Few students in my school has attempted anything like this. And to date, none of them has worked. I realized that the only way to raise a generation is to educate them. But the current education methods that we think of just wont cut it in today's digital society.
In full honesty, my school is full of hedonists, they have not a single care in the world. They all have the "it wont affect me" concept. In a few hours, I will be in school pitching the idea to a teacher. I really want to make a difference but the non conformist in me doesn't want to join any of the groups in my school like the Reaching Out Club or People to People International. I would pitch Evoke to the wh*** school trough them, but I want to see how it looks to a teacher I trust. One reason I trust him is because he's a gamer like me. If Evoke managed to inspire me a relatively hardcore gamer, I'm sure it can inspire a wh*** army of agents from my school. I mean, if little form 1 kids can spend days just playing Mafia Wars, I'm sure they could play Evoke.
I honestly hope the school would approve what I have in mind. My views on charity may seem a bit harsh to soe but I think it is how it should be. I believe in the wh*** teaching a man how to fish concept. Same thing goes to the youth of our nations. We teach them about global issues from young. But we cannot use conventional methods. Rather we should use new ways through "games" like Evoke. Evoke is an immersive game that actually makes you feel like you have done something each time you complete a blog post or upload a video or photo.
In summary, I hope that God blesses me when I actually pitch the idea to my teachers and I hope I could present it to the school by next week.
