A crash course in changing the world.
I´ve chosen an article about domestic violence against women in Gaza.
The article says, that there are still over 30% in the Gaza Strip that are exposed to (pysical) abuse in their homes, while there are 15% exposed to sexual abuse and nearly 75% exposed to pschological abuse, too.
The main reason for this - according to the report - is that, while the Israeli blockade halted imports and has cut jobs, the Gazan families have to survive with even less than before, which in the end effects in an increase in domestic violence.
The WAC (Women´s Affairs Centre) and UNRWA’s Gender Initiative have already launched groups, forums and workshops to talk about the issue - in the families itself and in the wh*** communityy, too.
There is a project from UNRWA which assits women facing domestic violence and can be found here:

Photos doc**enting womens life in the Gaza Strip can be found here:

Even if the task is about women´s rights and opportunities worldwide I think it is important to mention (at least for the story I´ve told above) that there are also men facing domestic violence, too, so everybody should care about that problem, because I think nobody (and I mean really nobody) should fear violence from others at home, but should feel secure within her/his family, cause sadly for some people their family is all they have in life, so these people should at least be able to rely on their family members and not fear them.
