Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

so i'm in highschool and the class i'm most interested in right now is global economy. my class has been assigned to research one trade object (where it goes and how it's made and who makes it), one Corporation (what they do and what they sell) and one resource (where it comes from and who uses it)

the problem has been that doing research on how things are made and by who is difficult because the companies that make things rarely want to tell you.
i am a fundamentally lazy researcher so instead of doing the research i came up with a system that might make the project easier for future generations. my idea is for a wiki site that classifies all resources, corporations, products and companies in the context of each other. a product page, say, pens, will tell you that most pens are made of certain kinds of plastic with a brass or steel tip and a ball made from tungsten carbide. it will say that pens are made by Bic, Pilot, and uniball, and that uniball is a part of newell rubbermaid. it will list all the countries that have pen factories in the world, and give us the top five as well. we'll be able to click on one of those countries and see what corporations operate there and what else is made there.
i'm not just talking about a force for tranceparency in the global economy, though that would be one use of this site, worldtradewiki could be a tool for business owners and startups to find out who's selling or making what it their area, because it wouldn't have to be limited to countries it could go as local as it needs to. also, someone who designs a new product can see what other things are made of and find the best material for their product and someone nearby who is selling it.

well enough with that rant. i made the website. it's called "worldtrade.wikia.com" of course right after i made it i realized i know next to nothing about the global economy and couldn't really contribute much content. my cla**** papers should be uploaded in a few weeks though, and hopefully someone here will be interested in helping me build this tool. the great thing is that it's a wikia so you can post whenever wherever, you can tell your friends and none of them have to talk to me. if you know anything about the countless resources, corporations, products, or locations in the world please post them on the website. it also needs a cool logo.

That's a very powerful idea. Very doable.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
